She is 3!

Avery had a birthday this week. I can't believe how fast this last year has gone, she is now three!? She still loves her doll her grandma gave her when she was a baby.

She also loves anything with Princesses on it and can name them all, but she is often found playing cars with her brothers. She can be pretty sweet and says some pretty funny things, but has quite the attitude. She is training her brothers to be great husbands too. She often shows off her clothes to Cole and he will comment how cute they are. Caleb has taken a bit more work as he is often in his own little world, but she has finally cracked that kid too. Just last night she said Caleb's name three times and when he finally looked, she pointed out her princess nightgown. His response was the same as usual, "pretty", with an absent smile.
This summer Cinemark has a different movie each week for just a dollar. We decided to go to the last movie of the summer for Ave's birthday. That night we took her to Chick-Fil-A for dinner and came home for cake and presents.

I took her to Target on her birthday to let her pick out a birthday present. That was pretty risky, she could have found something that cost too much, but I couldn't think of anything to get her. Luckily she spotted it quickly. She took off running and exclaimed, "a grocery cart!" She pulled it off the shelf, pointed to it Vanna White style and said "ta da!". It was perfect and right in the budget. She hasn't stopped playing with it for days.

Since it was so affordable I decided to get her a pair of bright pink jeggings too. CUTE. (Look forward to those pictures.) She also got some cards in the mail (Becca and Jess, you guys are so good) and some fun stuff from her Grandma and Leesa's family who came over to celebrate.
Her birthday cake didn't turn out quite like I had imagined it (they never do), but she seem happy with it and I guess that is all that matters.

If you can't tell the different shaped cake squares are supposed to be birthday presents. If I had the time and energy for fondant, that cake could have been amazing. As it was, the red velvet was pretty yummy.
We love this girl. Happy Birthday Avery!

I'm glad she had a great birthday! The cake looks good, I could tell they were presents. I can't get over how much she's like you! Broken collar bone being the least of it.
